Vision, mission, goals and values of the unit are derived from the vision, mission, goals and values of the Faculty of Medicine, due to the importance of the role played by SSU in forming a successful future for the medical students.

Mission
The Student Support Unit, in collaboration with other university units, focusses on:
- Facilitating student's academic and psychological development through extracurricular programs and activities in line with the University's vision and mission.
- Providing high quality and effective services to support students' educational and professional goals.
Goals
The Student Support Unit is designed primarily to support the academic, psychological and social development of students.
The services provided to students are scientifically and ethically planned to achieve the followings goals:
- Creating a vibrant university life for the student
- Increasing the services that meet students' needs
- Supporting the medical students to make productive citizens out of them.
- Developing a psychologically and socially healthy personality, by encouraging students to engage in various extracurricular activities.
