1. Active participation in the teaching of medical students within the developed curriculum.
2. Direct supervision of postgraduate programs of the department.
3. Distinguished scientific research in the specialized fields, and publishing in superior scientific journals.
4. Membership of various scientific and administrative committees in the Faculty of Medicine and in King Abdul Aziz University.
5. Sponsoring of the cultural, social and athletic extracurricular activities of the students of the Faculty of Medicine.
6. Direct care for the patients of the university hospital in cooperation with other departments of the faculty.
7. Part-time counseling for public and private hospitals and medical schools in Makkah region.
